Storage

If you need us to hold your belongings in storage they will usually be packed at your home and loaded straight into dry, secure containers which are taken to our purpose built warehouse at Sandwich.

Unlike commercial storage, complete strangers are not coming and going and the warehouse is covered by electronic surveillance.

The contents of containers will not normally be touched again until they are returned exactly as you last saw them. An inventory of all effects is collated upon collection and a copy issued for your reference. This can prove useful if you need access for an urgent item and for any sequence upon re-delivery.

FAQs

Privay?
Only signatories on the original contract give instructions to access belongings and or those authorised by the signatories.

Insurance?
All our work is fully insured and covered up to £25,000.00 with a supplementary premium per declared £1000.00 over and above. Please advise us of your declared value to ensure we have adequate provisions in place.

Cleaning?
We will be happy to arrange for carpets, curtains and/or soft furnishings to be cleaned before or after storage. Just ask for details.

Access?
If there are items you may need back before the others, tell our sales person when the quotation is being established and or the foreman on the packing/ loading day.

We can pack and load according to your needs and detail the specifics on the individual inventories for reference.

White Goods?
If white goods are going into storage you should defrost fridges or freezers a week beforehand (leaving the doors open). Ensure washing machines and spin dryers are empty, clean and dry.

What should not go into storage?
Never send precious items such as jewellery, money, deeds or collections into store. We also cannot accept hazardous goods like firearms, paint, aerosols either. Batteries should be removed from all electrical devices such as remote controls, toys etc.

Charges?
Charges are quite modest and charged by the day in arrears with no minimum, or maximum periods of storage. We have no tie in periods but do ask for 48 hours if vacating just because of planning and current schedules ... we could be busy!

We batch invoice all our storage customers every 28 days, 13 periods a year to ensure ease of reconciling and stability with the same periodic charge.

We can facilitate the setting up standing orders for the ease of settling aged storage accounts.
